So Long, Pluto

Let us
hail the dark and lonely god
who is no more—erase
a lifetime of lessons—unlearn
the once-proud furthest brother,
icon of my distant dreams.

(Shepherd of
my orbit.)

Verily,
modern ancients
revision space
as space.

We (r)evolve.

You spin away.

I like this very much. Poor Pluto. I wonder how Mickey's dog feels.

Thanks! I have a daughter named "Venus," so maybe that's why it hit me so hard...:)

Yes, that's life. One day you're a mighty planet, a big mover in the solar system, a name on everyone's lips, and the next you're just another dwarf asteroid iceball floating aimlessly around in space.
